FAQ

What happens to the original Modern 80's Kit?

The original Modern 80's kit is now a legacy product. This means that it is no longer getting updates and is no longer supported. That being said, the old version will be included in your V2.0 download for people who have older projects and want to ensure compatibility. But at some point, this will stop completely. 

Can the Modern 80s Kit V2.0 be installed alongside the original?

YES! They are separate instruments/Halion libraries so they will work alongisde with no issues. 

Is V1.0 compatible with V2.0 and will older projects using V1.0 load?

No, Modern 80s Kit is a brand-new instrument created from scratch. In order to make it better and add features, we had to re-write the code. So projects created with the original Modern 80s Kit will not open with V2.0. That's why for some time, the legacy version of the Modern 80s Kit (the original) will be included with the V2.0 download.

 
What should I do with my original Modern 80s Kit? 

I would suggest start using V2.0 from now on. It's much better in every single way. 😀
Make sure you backup the Modern 80s Kit original library if you want to use it in the future as it will not be included in the downloads forever.
